Technical audio explanation available below:

My favourite plectrums are made from an advanced thermoplastic polymer called Polyether Ether Ketone. PEEK belongs to the polyaryletherketone (PAEK) family and is widely used in engineering applications for its outstanding wear resistance, frictional behaviour and excellent grip.

Crafting each of these plectrums is an extremely demanding process that takes me approximately two hours to complete. I was the first to introduce PEEK for plectrum making back in 2011. Each piece features high-gloss bevels and satin contact surfaces to provide the ideal grip.

Hypothetically, comparing the abrasion resistance and lifespan of innovative materials such as Torlon and PEEK with traditional materials like Celluloid and Delrin reveals striking differences. Engineered for intense wear, Torlon and PEEK significantly outlast standard materials, offering musicians a highly durable alternative for extensive, rigorous use.

๐ŸŽธ Struggling with hand discomfort during extended playing sessions?
๐ŸŽธ Looking for greater precision and speed in your guitar playing?
๐ŸŽธ Curious about the biomechanical logic behind these plectrums?

By using thicker plectrums, you can improve playing efficiency and strength while reducing effort. This approach minimises hand movement and increases hand strength, resulting in less cramping and tension.

This feature can be particularly beneficial for guitarists experiencing muscular issues such as osteoarthritis or tendinitis. However, all players can benefit from this biomechanical effect, improving precision, strength and speed.

Key Benefits

โœ” Enhanced hand strength: reduced fatigue and discomfort.
โœ” Effortless playing: less strain, more endurance.
โœ” Precision and speed: improved control and articulation.
