At first glance, it looks like a delicious slab of crispy bacon.
But look closer: this is not food, not a joke, and definitely not homemade resin.

Inside this plectrum is a high-resolution bacon illustration, professionally printed on fabric and cast inside true, crosslinked cell-cast acrylic. This is not hobby-grade epoxy. It was made by a specialised acrylic casting company using industrial processes, the same kind used in optical-grade and aerospace applications.

Why go this far?

Because when I commit to a concept, I do it with the same intensity I apply to all my work, even when it is dressed like breakfast.

Cell-cast crosslinked acrylic offers:

Unmatched optical clarity and polish
High rigidity and dimensional stability
Superior chemical and thermal resistance
A feel and sound quality no basic plastic can touch

Casting this material professionally is complex and expensive, but the result is stunning and completely unique.

As with all of my plectrums, each one is entirely constructed by me, by hand, individually, here in Aigle, Switzerland, just next to Montreux.
